Anglesey is an island steeped in history, located on the North West coast of Wales. It possesses a rare beauty all of its own.
The area is rich in history and variety. From Holyhead (the gateway to Ireland) in the North to the glorious scenery of the Snowdonia National Park (a short distance down the A5 to the South), Anglesey has much to offer. Traces of many Roman ruins dot the Island, and Beaumaris Castle, built by Edward I, is well worth a visit.
Situated in the west of the island, close to Holyhead, the Anchorage Hotel is the ideal base from which to explore this beautiful part of the country.
Directions
From the South: Take the A55 across Anglesey and turn off at Junction No 3 – signposted to Valley. Turn left at the traffic lights onto the B4545. The Anchorage is approximately 2 miles down on the left hand side.
